Russell Investments Master Trust – Plant A Tree Promotion

Terms and Conditions

Participation/entry in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions (“Terms and Conditions”). Information on how the donation details form part of these Terms and Conditions.

The Promoter

The Promoter is Russell Investments Employee Benefits Pty Ltd ABN 70 099 865 013, AFSL 220705 (“REB”), of Level 29, 135 King St, Sydney NSW 2000, phone 1800 555 667 (“The Promoter”).

Eligible Member

The promotion is only open to Eligible Members. An “Eligible Member” is an individual who:

  • is a resident of Australia aged 18 years or older as at time of entry.
  • is not an employee of the Promoter or any of its related corporations or any of their agencies associated with the promotion (or a spouse, defacto spouse, parent, child or sibling [whether natural or by adoption] of such an employee); and
  • is a member of the Russell Investments Master Trust as either an iQ Super, Nationwide Super or Resource Super member for all or part of the Promotion Period and at the time of the conclusion of the promotion on 31 December 2020.

Promotion Period

00:00 hrs (AEDST) on Monday 7 September 2020 to 24:00 hrs (AEDST) on Thursday 31 December 2020 (“Promotion Period”), where 00:00 hrs is the start of a day and 24:00 hrs is the end of a day.

Entry Method

Entry into the promotion is automatic where an Eligible Member, during the Promotion Period satisfies the Entry Criteria as set out below.

The Promoter is not responsible for any late, lost, incorrectly submitted, delayed, ineligible, incomplete, corrupted or misdirected entry whether due to error, transmission, interruption or otherwise.

The time of entry will be deemed to be the time the entry is received by the Promoter.

Entry Criteria

Eligible Members will be granted one (1) entry into the promotion if they complete the registration process for online access for their iQ Super, Nationwide Super or Resource Super account during the Promotion Period for the first time. An Eligible Member can register for their online account through the registration page via www.russellinvestments.com.au/register. Nationwide Super Eligible Members can register for their online account through the registration page via www.nationwidesuper.com.au/register. Once an Eligible Member has registered for their online account, they will be emailed within 4 weeks of registering at the primary email address on file to confirm their entry into the promotion. On confirming this the member will be granted one entry into the promotion.

Subject to these Terms and Conditions, an Eligible Member may only enter the promotion once during the Promotion Period, that is, the Eligible Member will have one (1) entry in the promotion.

Donation Details

For every Eligible Member that registers for online access during the promotion period, a donation (of $3.75) to plant a native tree will be made to the Carbon Neutral Charitable Fund (https://cncf.com.au/product/donate-a-native-tree/). The donation is not transferrable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.

When a donation is made, Carbon Neutral Charitable Fund plant native trees and shrubs using local seeds that will regenerate the natural landscape protecting Australia’s environment for future generations.

Carbon Neutral Charitable Fund works on some of the largest native tree planting projects in Australia. Since 2006 Carbon Neutral Charitable Fund has planted over 4.2 million native trees across 3000 hectares.

The donation will be made to Carbon Neutral Charitable Fund on 1 February 2021.

Tax Deductibility

Carbon Neutral Charitable Fund are a Registered Environmental Organisation and endorsed as a deductible gift recipient (DGR) by the Australian Taxation Office. However, as the contribution will be made by Russell Investments Employee Benefits, tax deductions will not apply to Eligible Members.

Donation Date

The donation will be made to Carbon Neutral Charitable Fund on 1 February 2021.

Use of Funds by Recipient Organisations

Russell Investments, including REB and the Trustee of the Russell Investments Master Trust, makes no representations or warranties in relation to the appropriate use by recipient organisations of funds raised by promotions.
